Collin R. Jones, M.D.
Dr. Collin Jones was born and raised in the Plano, TX area. He is a graduate of Trinity Christian Academy and then went on to The University of Texas in Austin where he got his degree in Finance. He continued making his way south on I-35 and went to The University of Texas at San Antonio for medical school where his desire to become a Family Physician took hold.
After finishing his Family Medicine residency at Mayo Clinic he decided it was time to come back home and be close to family. In his career he has been acknowledged as the Resident Educator of the Year for Mayo Clinic. He has also had the honor of doing the sports physicals for the Washington Nationals.
He enjoys the full breadth of family medicine from seeing newborns and adolescents to managing complex medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, thyroid dysfunction, and much more. Preventative care is his passion and he aims to keep his patients healthy through education and open discussions. His goal is to prevent diseases before they even start.
In his off time, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife Jordan Jones, and their zoo of animals on their 5 acre farm. He has horses, sheep, donkeys, dogs, cats, and birds all on his property. He enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. During football season, he enjoys watching his Longhorns play on Saturdays and Tennessee Titans on Sundays. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, baseball is his favorite sport to both play and watch. He also enjoys seeing the Dallas Stars play and can be caught wearing green on game days.
